Casimir Funk religion became a hot topic after Google Doodle celebrated his 140th birthday. The Polish native passed away on November 19, 1967, at the age of 83.
Casimir Funk was a Polish and naturalized American biochemist. He was credited with being among the first to formulate the concept of vitamins.
It has been said that Funk called the concept of vitamins, vital amines or vitamines.
Likewise, he proposed the hypothesis that other diseases, like rickets, pellagra, coeliac disease, and scurvy could also be treated by vitamins.
Not only that, but Casimir was an early investigator of the problem of pellagra. In 1936, Casimir determined the molecular form of thiamine, though he was not the first to isolate it.
In honor of Casimir, the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America (PIASA) has also been providing awards.

Casimir Funk Religion: Was He Jewish, Christian or Muslim?
Casimir Funk religion has created a buzz online but it has never been confirmed what faith he believed in.
Multiple sources on the internet have made various speculations about Funk’s religion. Some sites have claimed that Funk may have followed Jewish.
Despite all the gossip related to Funk’s faith, it can be confirmed if he was Jewish or Christian.
When Funk was alive, he never opened up about his religion in the media sources as he was highly aware of his personal life.

Casimir Funk ethnicity remains unclear but it is known that he was originally from Poland. He was born in Warsaw, Poland on February 23, 1884.
According to an online report, Funk was born in then part of Russia. Back then, education was tough for Poles.
Not only that but Russian authority held sway over all public schools. Enrolling required a helping hand from someone influential.
Due to this reason, Funk was tutored at home until he was enrolled in public school. His parents were dissatisfied with the education their son was receiving.
Likewise, Funk was admitted to the Warsaw Gymnasium in 1894. Later, he also studied other institutions.

Casimir Funk was born and raised in a medical family life. His parents Gustawa Zysan (mother) and Jacques Funk (father) raised him in Poland.
Reportedly, his father worked as a dermatologist who even practiced medicine and conducted clinical research.
On the other hand, his mother was also a doctor by training. Gustawa gave up her professional career to care for the home.
However, Funk’s father and mother did not instill in him a passion for science. So, Funk caught it in a hospital near Augsburg, Germany.
Apart from that, there are no facts about Funk’s other family members. Also, it can’t be confirmed whether he had siblings or not.
As mentioned earlier, Casimir always kept the information about his family life far from the public eye. Meanwhile, he was married to Alix Denise Funk and welcomed two kids: Ian Casimir and Doriane Jacqueline.
Both of their children settled in Albany, New York.
