Caroline wrote that the former Canadian prime minister was surrounded by his family members at the time of his demise.
The cause of his death has not been officially disclosed. However, throughout his illustrious career in politics, Mulroney faced several health challenges.
In the previous year, his daughter Caroline confirmed that he was undergoing treatment for prostate cancer and was expected to resume work within a few weeks.
